Napoli are reportedly exploring a summer transfer for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus after an approach for the player, with Brazilian outlet Globo cited by multiple reports. The discussions are at an early stage, and Napoli have not made significant progress on a deal with Arsenal. Arsenal are understood to be open to selling Jesus before the end of the window, but only for a fee above their valuation. Reported figures converge on a demand of around €20 million (about £17.1m), with Arsenal described as setting a firm stance on offers. Jesus has one year remaining on his contract with Arsenal. The forward suffered a serious knee injury last season, rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and spending much of the year sidelined. Despite the time out, he scored six goals in 27 appearances overall last season. Napoli finished second in Serie A and have Massimiliano Allegri as their head coach after Antonio Conte’s departure. Jesus is also reported to be open to a move to Italy. Napoli are said to be looking to move other players as well, including Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca.
