Multiple outlets report that at least five teachers and staff members are killed, bringing the total reported deaths to at least seven, alongside the shooter. One report says at least six people are killed in the school, while another cites at least five victims at the school, with figures aligning on the overall count of seven confirmed victims plus the teen’s death.
Police also describe the shooter as firing a number of rounds at the school, with one outlet reporting he fires at least 26 bullets and is found with additional ammunition. The gun used in the attack is described as belonging to his grandfather. Authorities characterize the incident as Thailand’s worst mass killing in nearly four years or since 2022, depending on the outlet.
