Deadline reports that Disney has already selected a cast and that the film is expected to be music-filled, consistent with the franchise’s format. The Hollywood Reporter notes that the announcement comes after “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland,” which launched last month and is described as the fifth entry in the franchise. Together, the sources present “Hidden Heroes” as the next installment in Disney’s expanding live-action, music-oriented “Descendants” universe, with a storyline centered on offspring of supporting characters from prior Disney films.
