Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan says she supports Peter Okoye (Mr P) during his continuing public dispute with his brother Jude Okoye. In an Instagram post dated Friday, Morgan responds to commentary about Peter’s state of mind, arguing that what is described as “destructive” behavior often reflects emotional struggles that accumulate over time. She says artistes are frequently pressured to prioritize their careers over personal grief, abuse, pressure, and other problems, which can lead them to suppress feelings for years. Morgan adds that entertainers may reach a point where they can no longer “pretend,” and then eventually vent or seek help such as therapy. She also remarks that older artistes often face additional pressure because their public image and brand have been built around keeping aspects of their lives private. Alongside her remarks, Morgan prays for Peter, saying the Lord is close to the broken-hearted and wishing him peace and salvation. The statements come as Peter and Jude exchange new allegations related to the management of P-Square and long-running family disagreements.
