Fifth Season and HarbourView Equity Partners announce a multi-picture financing deal intended to support the production of multiple indie film and television projects. The agreement is led by HarbourView, a New York investment firm with a music portfolio and expanding film and TV investments, and it is designed to provide financing across a slate rather than a single title.
Among the first projects included is “The Peasant,” a co-production that Fifth Season develops with Dev Patel attached. Patel is reported to direct, co-write, and star in the film, which is set for release through A24.
Variety also reports that the deal includes “Nightwatching,” a thriller starring Mila Kunis, as part of the broader set of projects being developed under the financing pact.
The outlets describe the arrangement as part of both companies’ ongoing investment strategies—Fifth Season’s slate development and HarbourView’s broader move into film and TV financing alongside its existing music investments.
