The family of late journalist Veronica Guerin donates more than €120,000 to St Francis Hospice, using the remembrance to raise funds in Guerin’s name. Reports say the total is over €140,000, with the money presented as a cheque to the hospice.
The donation is directed toward the hospice’s building and redevelopment work, including the refurbishment of its Raheny in-patient unit. St Francis Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their families across Dublin.
