A security guard at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Ahmedabad is accused of sexually assaulting an interior design student after tying wire around her neck. The woman allegedly goes to the terrace of the PG building for a walk at around 10 pm, where the guard is also present, and later tries to leave.
According to reports, the guard allegedly restrains her with wire and rapes her on the terrace. She is taken to hospital and receives medical treatment. Police say they act quickly, forming multiple teams to search for the suspect, and he is arrested the following day.
The accused is identified as Dharm Singh, who is reported to have recently started working at the PG accommodation. Investigators examine CCTV footage showing the guard moving through the building, including the lift and terrace, as part of the evidence. Police also investigate the circumstances of the incident and review additional materials as the case proceeds.
