Police in Imo State say they neutralise a suspected bandit kingpin known as Ojiogu Martin, alias ‘Acid’, during a pre-dawn raid. The operation is reported to take place in or around the suspected gang leader’s hideout, where officers carry out the arrest operation and recover items linked to the group.
According to the police accounts cited by both outlets, the suspects’ alleged activities include involvement in multiple violent incidents, including murders. One report says the police recover an AK-47 rifle, several magazines, and live ammunition at the location. The other report also describes the recovery of an AK-47 and presents the operation as part of efforts to target gangs operating in Imo.
The reports broadly align on the identity of the suspect and the main outcome of the raid, but they emphasize slightly different aspects: one stresses the specific weapon and ammunition quantities recovered, while the other focuses more on the allegation that the kingpin is linked to multiple killings.
