Seventeen members Mingyu, Seungkwan and Dino announce when they will begin South Korea’s mandatory military service. Pledis Entertainment says Mingyu will start his service on Sept. 10 through alternative service. Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enlist together in the Army marching band on Oct. 26.
The reports note that the members continue their scheduled official activities until they report for duty, and that no separate official events will be held on their enlistment dates. One outlet also provides a wider group status update: Jeonghan finishes service in June 2025, while Wonwoo, Hoshi and Woozi are currently serving. Another outlet adds broader context that the requirement can temporarily reshape the activities of K-pop groups with multiple Korean male members.
The outlets broadly agree on the dates, the type of service for each member, and the fact that they will be unavailable for Seventeen activities after their respective enlistment start dates.
