The Azim Premji Foundation has started accepting applications for its Azim Premji Scholarship 2026–27 program, with registration beginning on August 10, 2026. The scholarship is aimed at supporting girl students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are seeking to pursue higher education.
Eligible applicants must have completed Class 10 and Class 12 as regular students from government schools or colleges. Applicants also need to secure admission to the first year of a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma course with a duration of 2 to 5 years, either at a government institution or a recognised private college/university. Reporting across outlets also describes the scholarship as not being based on merit or grades, and notes that the application process is free of charge.
The scholarship benefit is Rs 30,000 annually for the duration of the undergraduate degree or certificate program. Applications are accepted until August 31, 2026. Outlets also provide the same broad application route: submitting the form through the Foundation’s official website after completing registration and providing required details and documents.
