In Manila, as of 8 a.m. on Aug. 10, 855 individuals from 243 families seek shelter in four evacuation centers, according to the Manila City Social Welfare Officer.
Quezon City and Pasig City report even higher evacuation figures. As of 12 noon on Aug. 10, Quezon City has 1,705 families (6,143 individuals) staying in 35 evacuation centers across 19 barangays, as a precaution against flooding and landslides. In Pasig, reports vary by time: by 1 p.m. Aug. 10, 1,538 families (4,853 individuals) are in 16 evacuation centers across seven barangays, while by 9 p.m. that day, 3,913 individuals across 1,249 families are housed in 11 centers spanning five barangays.
