Crypto exchange Coinsbuy reports losing more than $8 million after a coordinated attack affecting wallets on both the TRON and Ethereum networks. On-chain analysis presented by CoinDesk links the activity to a single actor and describes it as a two-blockchain drain.

According to the reporting, the attacker moves funds from multiple wallets: more than $6 million in stablecoins from eight TRON wallets, alongside additional USDT and ether taken from three Ethereum wallets. NDTV and CoinDesk both note that much of the stolen value is routed through trading and liquidity infrastructure, including services used to swap or exchange crypto. CoinDesk specifically says most funds are routed through FixedFloat, while the exact attack vector and mechanism are still unclear.

Coinsbuy states that no customers lose funds and that the exchange continues operating. Investigations are ongoing as analysts work to identify how the attacker gained access and how the cross-chain coordination was carried out.
