RPSG Group’s renewable-energy arm, Purvah Green, agrees to acquire ReNew Solar Power’s solar plant portfolio for ₹4,859 crore. The deal covers contracted solar capacity currently held by ReNew Solar, and it increases Purvah’s contracted generation base.

Before the transaction, Purvah’s contracted capacity stands at about 3.4 GWp (gigawatt peak). After the acquisition, sources state that its contracted capacity rises to around 4.8 GWp, with Business Line adding that the portfolio also supports an associated battery capacity of 2.2 GWh. Both outlets frame the transaction as part of RPSG Group’s expansion in renewable energy, with Business Line specifically linking it to a target of reaching 10 GW of renewable capacity in the coming years. The Hindu focuses more directly on the acquired capacity and deal value, while Business Line also highlights the battery component and longer-term growth plans.
