Rumors about Apple’s next iPhone 18 Pro color, “Dark Cherry,” continue as a Weibo leaker weighs in on which shade is accurate. The leaker known as “Fixed Focus Digital” says two different red variants have been circulating online and that the darker option is the correct one. In the post, the color is described as a deeper, more purplish red with a cherry-like look.

The reporting also reflects earlier claims from other sources about the same color. Bloomberg previously described the shade as a deep red, while Macworld reported Apple was preparing a “Dark Cherry” option for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, characterizing it as a deep, wine-like red and citing an internal Pantone code. Other leaks, including mock models and additional renders shared by different leakers, have shown Dark Cherry alongside other reported colors and have offered slightly different descriptions of its tone.

Across outlets, the focus remains on the same disputed detail: how dark the red should appear and how much it should lean purplish versus brighter red tones. Apple has not confirmed any of these specifications, and the color’s final appearance awaits the company’s announcement.
