A man allegedly kills his two daughters inside a luxury hotel room in Bengaluru and later attempts to end his own life, according to police. Hotel staff discover the incident after not hearing from the occupants and alert authorities. The man is found unconscious with injuries, including what police describe as a slit throat, and is rescued and taken for medical treatment.
Police say they recover a note from the scene in which the man cites marital disputes and states he suspects his wife is involved with another person. The Times of India reports that the note refers to an alleged affair as the motive, while The Hindu similarly describes the note as linking the killings to problems in the couple’s relationship.
Investigators are treating the case as serious and are conducting further inquiry into the circumstances leading up to the killings and the allegations mentioned in the note. The man is currently receiving treatment as the police investigation continues.
