Zydus Lifesciences reports a 36% year-on-year fall in consolidated net profit attributable to owners to ₹939.8 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), down from ₹1,466.8 crore in Q1 FY26. Revenue from operations grows 22% to ₹8,017 crore, and total income rises to ₹8,123 crore.

The company also sees higher costs: total expenses increase 41% year-on-year to ₹6,798.3 crore. Business Line adds that EBITDA declines 7.6% and that margins contract sharply to 24.1% during the quarter. On a sequential basis, revenue from operations rises from ₹7,587 crore in Q4 FY26 to ₹8,017 crore in Q1 FY27, but net profit falls from ₹1,272.5 crore to ₹939.8 crore.

Zydus notes the quarter includes net exceptional expenses of ₹18.2 crore, including severance compensation and antitrust class-action settlement costs, partly offset by a litigation settlement receipt. During the quarter, Zydus completes its tender-offer buyback, extinguishing 87.30 lakh equity shares.
