Hong Kong-based Moebius Entertainment acquires international sales rights to Peter Ho-Sun Chan’s drama “The Road Not Taken,” ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Both outlets report the film will screen in TIFF’s Special Presentations section.
The film is directed by Peter Ho-Sun Chan and stars Zhou Xun, Tian Zhuangzhuang and Wang Xiao, with Variety additionally citing Wen Qi as part of the cast. The story centers on early-onset Alzheimer’s disease and follows a middle-aged former TV host. Deadline describes the plot as focused on the host’s experience with the condition, while Variety frames the same premise through the lens of early-onset Alzheimer’s.
