Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, calls for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to be disqualified from the forthcoming Osun State governorship election. He makes the demand in a video posted on his verified Facebook page, responding to a viral clip involving APC senator Francis Fadahunsi.
In the circulated video, Fadahunsi is described as directing APC supporters to “kill” any Accord Party members they encounter. The remarks follow a protest over alleged attacks on APC members and lead to widespread condemnation. According to the reports, the senator is summoned by the Osun State Police Command after the controversy.
Fayose argues that the comments amount to an open threat of violence by a prominent APC figure, and he says this should bar the party from participating in the election. The outlets also note that the election is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, with incumbent Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party seeking re-election against APC’s Bola Oyebamiji and other candidates.
