Insta360 has announced the X6, a new all-in-one 360-degree action camera. The company says it keeps the familiar 360 action-cam design while shrinking the overall body compared with its previous models, including last year’s X5 and X4 Air.
The main upgrade is image capture. Insta360 states the X6 uses a larger pair of custom Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors, aimed at improving video performance. Reports also highlight faster processing, including an upgraded AI component, which is intended to support higher-quality footage.
Coverage also points to new or emphasized video specs. One outlet highlights the camera’s improved video capabilities, while another specifically lists support for 8K capture, faster AI processing, and video up to 120 frames per second. Both accounts frame the X6 as a continuation of Insta360’s effort to refine its 360 action lineup with better hardware in a more compact form.
