Black Box Limited reports an 18% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for Q1 FY27, reaching about ₹56 crore (₹55.9 crore), up from ₹47.4 crore in Q1 FY26. Revenue from operations also increases, with figures in the outlets differing in presentation but pointing to a strong year-on-year rise. Business Line cites revenue from operations jumping to ₹8,986 crore, while Free Press Journal reports revenue from operations of ₹1,719 crore, up from ₹1,387 crore.
Free Press Journal adds that net profit declines on a sequential basis, falling 14% from Q4 FY26 despite revenue edging up 1.6%. It attributes the quarter-to-quarter drop to higher expenses and exceptional costs. Exceptional expenses rise to ₹18.9 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹14.2 crore, including severance expenses tied to manpower rationalisation at BBX Inc. and costs linked to lease foreclosures.
The company’s quarterly performance also includes higher profit before exceptional items and tax, and stronger segment-level contributions, led by system integration. Free Press Journal also reports the group acquires 100% equity interest in 2S Inovações Tecnológicas, effective May 1, 2026, for total consideration of ₹496.6 crore.
