A seven-year-old boy, Musa Ahmed, dies after getting into difficulty in the water at West Mersea beach on 22 July. Reports say he passes away six days later, having suffered serious injury.
Other people also die in the same incident. Multiple outlets state that Musa’s cousin, 15-year-old Sameeha Rahman, drowns, along with Sameeha’s mother, Shelina Rahman, 41. One report says an inquest hears that Musa suffers a brain injury following the drowning.
