LG Group and Nvidia sign a memorandum of understanding to expand their cooperation in artificial intelligence, including plans to unveil an AI-powered humanoid robot in the first quarter of 2027. The agreement is signed by LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at Nvidia’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California, with other LG executives also attending.
The sources describe the robot as using Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T foundation model. One outlet also says the robot will rely on Nvidia’s Jetson Thor for on-board computing, while both sources frame the collaboration as covering broader AI applications beyond robotics. LG says the partnership focuses on areas such as AI factory, physical AI, and mobility, and positions the MoU as part of momentum gained from earlier discussions between senior executives at the two companies.
