Authorities in Noida and Greater Noida ask schools to restrict smartboard and other digital screen use amid concerns about prolonged exposure for children. The guidance sets daily limits for different age groups and also calls for changes in classroom practices.
According to the administration’s directions reported by Times of India and NDTV, primary students should have no more than 30 minutes of smartboard/screen time per day, while upper-primary students can use screens for up to 60 minutes. Schools are told to ensure regular breaks and to encourage non-screen learning, including outdoor games and activity-based instruction. Times of India also emphasizes using conventional blackboards or whiteboards more often, alongside outdoor activities and routine eye-checks.
The outlets largely converge on the limits and the health-oriented rationale, with Times of India adding more detail on classroom method changes and eye care measures while NDTV focuses primarily on the screen-time caps and age grouping.
