Senate President Godswill Akpabio says Osun State should be in a better condition because it receives enough funding from the federal government. Speaking in Osogbo ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, he tells the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, to ensure that state resources are used responsibly and translated into visible development.
Akpabio points to issues he says remain unresolved, including potholes on the road between Ibadan and Osogbo, as examples of shortcomings despite ongoing allocations. He urges Oyebamiji to align governance with the Federal Government’s “progressive agenda” and to begin implementing development projects immediately after taking office.
