Twelve dolphins are rescued after becoming stranded on a beach west of Dingle (Daingean Uí Chúis) in County Kerry. Reports say they are freed during an incident that also involved a larger number of dolphins before the rescue operation began.
Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) and others carry out the response with help from the public. RTE reports IWDG thanks members of the public who assist in saving 12 dolphins.
