The Federal Fire Service (FFS) says the government is urging wealthy Nigerians, philanthropists, and corporate organisations to help establish fire stations across the country. The call is made by the FFS Controller General, Adeyemi Samuel Olumode, during a one-day National Stakeholders’ Summit on Fire Safety held in Abuja.
Olumode presents fire safety as a shared responsibility rather than something left only to government. He specifically asks organisations and individuals with the resources to contribute support that can strengthen fire-prevention and emergency response capacity.
