A private jet that landed on a highway in Asaba on 10 June is the focus of an investigation after Nigeria’s aircraft accident investigators (NSIB) report that the aircraft’s black box data has been overwritten. The NSIB says this limits what can be reconstructed about the sequence of events leading up to the wrong-surface landing.
According to the NSIB, the data was overwritten after the crew flew the aircraft back to Lagos before investigators were able to obtain the recorders.
