The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) committee starts Round 1 choice filling for NEET UG 2026 admissions to MBBS and BDS colleges in the state. Candidates who have registered for counselling and meet eligibility criteria based on the Odisha state merit list can submit their preferred colleges and courses on the official website.

The choice-filling window runs from August 14 to August 17, 2026. OJEE schedules the Round 1 provisional seat allotment for August 19, followed by the final seat allotment on August 22. After allotment, candidates follow further instructions for reporting and subsequent counselling steps, including withdrawal/resignation between August 23 and August 30, 2026. Times of India also notes that the counselling process includes steps such as online seat upgradation, document verification, and withdrawal, alongside logistics like expanded PwD evaluation centres and digital NRI registration.

Outlet reports also differ in emphasis: Free Press Journal focuses on the Round 1 seat matrix details, while Times of India highlights the Odisha provisional state merit list.
