The University of Sheffield will offer eligible Indian students a £7,000 tuition fee discount for postgraduate taught courses starting in September 2027.

The programme must be studied full-time and in its entirety at the University of Sheffield.Students from the University of Sheffield International College (USIC) are also eligible, subject to the other conditions of the scholarship.No separate application requiredOne of the key features of the scholarship is that eligible students do not need to fill out a separate scholarship application.However, applicants must accept their postgraduate taught offer from the university by 4 pm UK time on July 6, 2027 to be considered for the award.Students who are also taking a pre-sessional English course must accept both the postgraduate offer and the pre-sessional course offer.The university has also clarified that if a student accepts an initial offer before the deadline and later accepts an offer for a different programme, they can still remain eligible for the scholarship, provided they continue to meet the eligibility requirements.Courses not covered under the ScholarshipThe £7,000 tuition fee reduction does not apply to every postgraduate programme. Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) and Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) courses are excluded.The scholarship is also not available for:Crossways coursesErasmus Mundus coursesOnline or distance-learning programmesProgrammes split between the University of Sheffield and a partner institutionPostgraduate courses where a higher clinical fee appliesCompulsory or optional years in industry or study abroadOther programmes specifically excluded under the university's scholarship termsMArch programmes, however, are treated as postgraduate taught programmes for scholarship purposes and are eligible, subject to the other conditions.Two-Year Master's ProgrammesStudents enrolling in a two-year master's programme can receive the £7,000 scholarship in the second year, provided they successfully complete the first year of study.The award does not cover compulsory or optional industry or study-abroad years that form part of a programme.Students should also note that the scholarship cannot be deferred.
