APC’s Oyebamiji defeats Adeleke at Boluwaduro Ward 6 polling unit in Osun governorship election

Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has defeated incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party at Ward 6, Polling Unit 006 in Boluwaduro Local Government Area during the ongoing Osun State governorship election.According to a result sheet shared on X by Akinsola Akin, Oyebamiji secured 68 votes, while Adeleke polled 39.Voting across the state began around 9 a.m. and concluded at approximately 2:30 p.m. in several polling units.The election features Adeleke, Oyebamiji, and 13 other candidates vying for the support of 2,339,233 registered voters, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).Earlier, Governor Adeleke expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of the election, citing widespread complaints of malfunctioning Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines. His nephew, musician David Adeleke (popularly known as Davido), also criticized INEC for delays in uploading results to its IReV portal as of 2:33 p.m.This version keeps the focus on the polling unit result while weaving in the broader election context and complaints about BVAS and result uploads.
