Bisi Akande, the APC’s founding chair and a former governor of Osun State, wins his own polling unit in the Osun election, according to reports from both outlets.
Vanguard says Akande secures 181 votes at a specific polling unit, defeating the Accord Party candidate and incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, who records 121 votes. Premium Times reports that Akande votes earlier on Saturday at a polling unit designated as PU 12, Ward 4, in the Atogbade area of Ila-Orangun, Ila Local Government Area.
While the two accounts focus on different identifiers for the polling location, they agree on the outcome at Akande’s polling unit: Akande leads Adeleke there.
