PhysicsWallah shares rise around 7–8% after the company reports an improvement in its first-quarter (Q1) results. Multiple outlets cite a reduction in the consolidated loss year-on-year alongside higher revenue, which drives investor optimism and pushes the stock higher during the session.

In the quarter ended June, PhysicsWallah posts a consolidated loss of about ₹77.5 crore, compared with roughly ₹120 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations increases 24% year-on-year to about ₹1,054 crore. Sources also note that total expenses rise year-on-year (about 18%), even as the loss narrows. Outlets highlight ongoing momentum in the company’s online K-12 and early learning business, including 41% year-on-year growth in enrolments to around 7.8 lakh.

The reporting differs mainly in emphasis. Economic Times frames the quarter as a narrowing-loss turnaround with stronger profitability prospects, citing a brokerage view. Free Press Journal provides more detailed operational figures, including the impact of a delayed NEET exam cycle on NEET enrolment timing, and says demand strengthens after July with improved enrolment and collections.
