Beijing-based chip designer Ingenic Semiconductor launches a Hong Kong share offering to raise as much as HK$3.22 billion. The company plans to issue 31.29 million H shares priced at up to HK$102.80 each, according to filings reported by outlets. Ingenic expects the new shares to begin trading on August 25, extending its fundraising efforts beyond its existing mainland listing.
Injec’s offering comes as more mainland Chinese chipmakers use Hong Kong’s markets to fund growth and international expansion. Ingenic is controlled by Beijing Junzheng and has been listed on Shenzhen’s ChiNext board since 2011. Coverage also says the company intends to use most proceeds to support chip research and development, product development, and strategic investments, aligning the IPO with its technology-focused expansion plans. While both outlets describe the size, share count, and pricing, their emphasis differs: one highlights the broader “wave” of mainland chip fundraising in Hong Kong, while the other focuses on Ingenic’s planned use of funds.
