Netflix is developing “Projet K” (“Project K”), a drama centered on the real-life Nazi hunters Beate and Serge Klarsfeld and their pursuit of Klaus Barbie. Diane Kruger and Dany Boon are set to play the husband-and-wife team, while Tim Roth is involved as the actor playing Barbie.
Both outlets describe the story as focusing on how the Klarsfelds, a German-Jewish couple, spend years tracking down former Nazis after World War II. The Hollywood Reporter adds that Yvan Attal directs the project, framing it as a real-life drama about the couple’s search for the Gestapo officer known as “the Butcher of Lyon.” Deadline similarly emphasizes that the film follows Barbie’s trail and casts Kruger and Boon as the Klarsfelds, while noting the Netflix production context and the pairing of Kruger and Boon with Roth’s Barbie.
