Isaac Fayose, a businessman and younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, alleges that the All Progressives Congress (APC) spent about N60 billion to buy votes in the Osun State governorship election held on August 15. Fayose makes the claim in an interview on News Central Television on Monday, saying the money allegedly used for vote inducements came from taxpayers across the country.
Fayose also questions why electoral and security agencies did not intervene despite the reported inducements. The outlets note that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the election results, while APC says it is reviewing the outcome and has not accepted the declaration.
