Fayose alleges APC spent N60bn to buy votes in Osun governorship election

Isaac Fayose, a businessman and younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) spent about N60 billion to buy votes in the recently concluded Osun State governorship election.Speaking on Monday during an interview on News Central Television, Fayose claimed the funds used for the alleged vote-trading were drawn from taxpayers across the country.“They [APC] bought votes worth about 60 billion… When you buy votes worth 60 billion, where did they get this money from?” he said.Fayose also questioned the failure of electoral and security agencies to intervene amid the reported inducements.The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the results of the August 15 election, but the APC has indicated it is reviewing the outcome and has not yet accepted the declaration.
