Inox Clean Energy says it has completed its acquisition of GIP’s Vena Energy India Holdings Pte Ltd, the India renewable energy platform of the Vena Group, from BlackRock, for about ₹6,000 crore. The company describes the deal as among the fastest in the renewable sector from signing to execution, completed within roughly two months.
Inox Clean says the transaction is funded through internal equity and refinancing, and involves multiple stakeholders and financing partners. Vena Energy India’s portfolio includes about 1 GW of operational capacity, 1.7 GW of solar and wind and 1.2 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) assets in advanced stages, plus an additional 2.7 GW of solar and wind and 1.3 GWh of BESS in the development pipeline.
After the acquisition, Inox Clean expects its operating and near-operational portfolio to reach about 4 GW, while the development pipeline rises to more than 12 GW of solar and wind and 2.5 GWh of BESS. The Business Line report focuses mainly on the post-deal portfolio outlook, while other details in the Free Press Journal coverage emphasize deal speed and financing structure.
