Intesa Sanpaolo SpA says it holds a large equity stake in SpaceX, with its shares valued at almost $1 billion at the end of June. In a regulatory filing, the bank reports owning about $966 million worth of SpaceX shares as of June 30, making the holding disclosed for the first time.

Following that disclosure, the reported value of the stake changes with SpaceX’s share price. Moneyweb says the stock has fallen about 14% since the end of June, which would put the stake at about $809 million currently based on 5.66 million shares. The outlets therefore differ mainly in timing—end-of-June valuation versus a later, lower market value—rather than in the underlying size of the reported holding.
