The United Arab Emirates says its air defenses detect two ballistic missiles launched from Iran, and that both fall into the sea in the Gulf region. The UAE’s defense ministry states the first missile lands outside the UAE’s territorial waters and the second falls within territorial waters.

The UAE further says assessments indicate the missiles are targeting maritime navigation. According to the outlets, the UAE issues statements describing the incidents and later reiterates that the intercepted missiles were detected as coming from Iran. Iran’s position is that it denies the allegation, with one report noting Tehran rejects the claim that the missiles were fired at shipping.

While all accounts share the core description—two missiles detected from Iran and both landing in water—the framing differs slightly. Some reports emphasize the UAE’s attribution and the missile locations relative to territorial waters, while others highlight the claim that the missiles are aimed at maritime traffic and mention the subsequent Iranian denial.
