Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke calls on the Centre to use money from the PM CARES Fund to improve rural school infrastructure. He launches a campaign, “School Thik Karo,” and says many rural schools lack basic facilities and adequate access, including roads and essential amenities.
Dipke cites the PM CARES Fund’s balance and questions why the funds are not being directed toward building or upgrading schools. According to an audit report cited by one outlet, the fund had ₹8,452 crore as of March 31, 2025, and a large portion was held in fixed deposits. Dipke also points to low recent spending and argues that available funds could support large-scale improvements, including constructing more than 1,000 “high-tech model” schools.
Across the reports, Dipke further highlights education-related disparities affecting rural children and raises concerns about enrolment practices, including that children of education officials should attend government schools. While both outlets focus on education infrastructure and the rationale for using PM CARES funds, they differ in emphasis—one also highlights broader concerns about educational equity.
