Ebix and NSDL Payments Bank have crossed 1 crore registrations for concession cards issued under Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) programmes using the NCMC framework. The cards are issued on the RuPay network and are intended to replace paper concession passes.
The cards cover eligibility categories including students, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and freedom fighters. According to reports, the programme has been rolled out across about 16,000 villages in Maharashtra, aligning with the Prime Minister’s “One Nation, One Card” initiative.
