NCERT reconstitutes the team preparing political science textbooks for Classes XI and XII. Two of the books are under development, with at least one targeted for completion by November and another scheduled for readiness by the following July. The new panel is set to draft content that includes themes such as cultural rootedness and Indian knowledge systems.

Both outlets report that the panel consists of 20 members drawn from institutions including Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi University (DU), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and National Law University (NLU) Delhi, among others. Times of India adds that at least four members have past or present links to organisations associated with the RSS-BJP, a point also highlighted in NDTV’s reporting.

While the outlets agree on the reconstitution of the panel, the specific emphasis differs: NDTV focuses more on the textbook themes and timeline, whereas Times of India foregrounds the composition of the panel and the alleged RSS-linked connections raised in public discussion.
