Baidu’s Apollo Go fully driverless vehicles are now available to riders on Uber in Dubai, marking the first time the partnership is active in a real market. The service is offered through Uber booking options including Uber Comfort and UberX, with riders able to be matched to an Apollo Go vehicle.
According to coverage of the rollout, Uber users can also select an “Autonomous” option to request an Apollo Go ride. The launch is positioned as a new channel for hailing rides from Baidu’s driverless fleet, rather than a standalone service.
The two reports align on the core facts: Apollo Go is fully driverless, the Uber partnership is operational for the first time, and Dubai is the initial city. They differ mainly in framing—one focuses on the debut and availability on Uber, while the other emphasizes the “goes live” nature of the offering and the specific Uber options riders can use.
