The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigns two men before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, over allegations involving the unauthorized disclosure and supply of bank access credentials. The defendants are Gideon Bakpa Aghogho and Oscar Ebere Chukwuebuka, who appear before Justice F.N. Ogazi.

According to the EFCC, the matter centres on alleged credential trading linked to FCMB systems. Nigerian Eye reports that the charges relate to an alleged supply of an access code for use on FCMB’s virtual center platform, carried out between July 24 and 26, 2026, in collaboration with a third suspect identified as “Scott,” who remains at large. The outlets also report allegations that Aghogho disclosed server IP and domain details without authorization, allegedly in exchange for $15,000.

The EFCC frames the case under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, 2015 (as amended in 2024). Nigerian Eye says the charge is eight-count, citing Sections 27 and 28(1)(b). At arraignment, Aghogho pleads not guilty, while Chukwuebuka admits guilt. The court remands both in custody and adjourns proceedings until August 27, 2026.
