Mumbai Police arrest an ex-IndusInd Bank manager over an alleged gold theft from an NRI’s locker. The complainant, Pradeep Motiram Bhatia, a 74-year-old Dubai resident, reports that 610 grams of gold were missing when he returned to Mumbai after nearly two years. He lodges a complaint after discovering the theft.
Police identify the arrested suspect as Kuldeep Ramchand Sahani, 35, an ex-bank employee. Investigators say he accessed the locker and stole the gold belonging to Bhatia. The theft is valued at about Rs 81 lakh. The case is being handled by Mumbai Police as an alleged breach involving the locker facility, with the investigation focusing on how the locker was accessed and on the custody of the stolen items.
