The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) says its team was attacked while visiting a government primary school in Rampura Kanwarpura village in Jaipur district as part of its “School Thik Karo” campaign. CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka and others allege stones were pelted, vehicles were damaged, and injuries were sustained, including a fractured hand and allegations that a woman was assaulted. The team left the area after resistance from locals.

CJP also accuses BJP-linked people of orchestrating the confrontation, while villagers and some BJP representatives deny the allegation, saying they blocked the team from entering. Villagers claim the school can be repaired through local efforts and say the government has already sanctioned funds for repairs. BJP leaders also argue that locals prevented the CJP visit because they did not want political campaigning around children and schools.

The episode occurs amid a wider dispute in Rajasthan over a recent education-department order restricting outsiders’ entry to government schools and limiting photography, interviews and recordings, with critics saying it reduces scrutiny. Other reporting from Maharashtra also places CJP co-founder Abhijeet Dipke’s calls for action on alleged school irregularities and negligent officials in that context.
