The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, releases the tentative seat allotment for TNEA 2026 Counselling Round 3 on the official portal, tneaonline.org. Candidates who participated in Round 3 can check their provisional allotment online and must confirm their allotted seat within the specified window to retain it.
The tentative results are published for candidates under the General Quota and the Government School Quota (7.5%). Sources report that confirmation is required by August 22, with the portal allowing candidates to log in and submit confirmation between August 21 and 22 (10 AM to 5 PM). The allotment is generated based on TNEA 2026 rank, choice preferences, reservation policy, and seat availability.
After confirmation, candidates with an allotted seat can choose to accept the seat, accept and opt for “upward movement” (to participate in later rounds while keeping their current allotment), reject and opt for upward movement, or exit counselling. Those selecting upward movement receive a provisional allotment on August 23, while revised allotments are reported on August 31. Candidates who accept must report to their assigned colleges within the scheduled period and complete admission after document verification and fee payment.
