The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ebonyi State selects Dr. Ideyi Prince Gamax as its candidate for the Ebonyi South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections. Both outlets report that Gamax was the only aspirant and won a substitution primary held at the party’s state secretariat.
According to the reports, the primary takes place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, and produces 450 votes for Gamax. Nigerian Eye adds that the exercise is supervised by security agencies, media representatives, and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). ADC state officials announce the result and describe it as an endorsed process by party members.
