Yash’s film “Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-ups” receives an “A” certification from India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), allowing only adult audiences. The board clears the movie without cuts, ahead of its planned theatrical release on August 26. Both Indian and UK classification bodies rate the film for adults, reflecting its mature themes.

Reports say the CBFC asks for slight language adjustments in the Kannada version, along with corresponding changes in English subtitles. The board also requires mandatory warnings for scenes involving smoking and drug use, and these elements are expected to be included in the certified version.

In the UK, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) also classifies the film as “A” (adult), citing aspects such as violence and injury details, sex, drugs, and other mature content categories. While the outlets agree on the adult rating and warnings, they differ in the specific details they highlight about content strength and the particular phrases requested for modification by the CBFC.
