LinkedIn says that more than one million people have clicked its newly introduced feedback button labeled “Seems like AI slop.” The company made the feature available via the post options menu (the three-dots) and is using it to collect user input on posts that may be AI-generated, according to a statement from chief product officer Hari Srinivasan.
LinkedIn’s move follows internal analysis that finds a sizable share of the platform’s longform posts may be fully AI-generated, and it frames the button as a way for members to flag content. The Verge reports that Srinivasan also says users are experiencing about 40% fewer views on what LinkedIn classifies as “AI slop” compared with a few weeks earlier. Slashdot adds that LinkedIn is also testing or adding a message to creators informing them that some members told the company the post “seems like AI,” with feedback intended to encourage clearer, more human-sounding writing.
