IndiGo A321neo grounded after tail strike during landing at Gorakhpur airport

New Delhi: An IndiGo Airbus A321neo aircraft suffered a tail impact during its landing approach on Wednesday afternoon in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur. The aircraft was grounded at Gorakhpur airport. The Delhi-to-Gorakhpur operating flight 6E 2381 was an Airbus A321-252NX bearing registration VT-ILR. IndiGo received delivery of the aircraft in August 2021. The flight carried out a go-around during the landing approach in the interest of safety. The aircraft subsequently returned and landed safely at Gorakhpur airport. All passengers and crew members disembarked safely, the airlines said in a statement as reported by Times of India.Scratches observed during inspectionScratches were observed during a regular post-flight walk-around of the APU inlet.
